þjóðhátíð í eyjum
Leading a dedicated team of filmmakers, drone pilots, and organizers, I took on the challenge of capturing the essence of Þjóðhátíð í Eyjum, Iceland’s largest and most iconic music festival. Hired by Ölgerðin / Tuborg Iceland, I was responsible for overseeing the entire content production—while also being on the frontlines myself, filming, photographing, and editing in real-time.
Our mission was to create daily videos and photos while managing the festival’s social media presence. With Þjóðhátíðdrawing thousands of attendees each year since its inception in 1874, the pressure was on to deliver compelling content that truly encapsulated the experience.
Throughout the weekend, we worked relentlessly—accumulating less than 10 hours of sleep in total—but the results spoke for themselves. This was the most successful content campaign in the festival’s history, with visuals and stories that deeply resonated with the audience, driving record engagement and reach.
This project was more than just a job—it was a test of endurance, creativity, and teamwork. The festival’s magic, from the fiery red flares to the euphoric crowds, came to life through our lens.
