Worldβs Longest Ski Jump β Behind the Lens
Being a part of the Worldβs Longest Ski Jump project was an incredible experience. Organized by Red Bull Japan, the project took three months of meticulous planning and execution. The goal? To create a jump big enough to shatter the ski jump and ski flying world records. Olympic medallist and FIS World Cup Champion RyΕyΕ« Kobayashi, along with his team, headed to Akureyri, Iceland, where they carved a massive kicker into the mountainside.
I was honored to be hired to document this extraordinary journey, capturing the building process and serving as the main cameraman on jump day.
Most of the video footage you see in this project comes from my lens. Working alongside the Red Bull Japan team and over 10 other photographers and filmmakers, this project was a true collaboration of skill and creativity.
The result? A breathtaking visual story of determination, innovation, and record-breaking achievement. Itβs safe to say: mission accomplished.
